Elevator Pitch No. 2

The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive.  What stood out to me was that the people that gave the feedback thought that my idea would be great and would love to see it implemented.  With that, I didn't find any of the feedback to be wrong because it was so positive.  Something that I thought was important in the feedback that I received was the support I received from those that watched the video and commented on the blog post.  It was a great to see that people were so enthusiastic over my opportunity!

I did not change anything with this elevator pitch.  With the overwhelming support I received with the last one, I felt that nothing needed to be changed.  With that, I hope this elevator pitch blog post continues to receive the same positive feedback that I received with the last one.

  1. I really like this concept and I will definitely say that it is something that would be super beneficial in large cities and college campuses. My only question is what if your customers began taking advantage of the service. With one monthly fee they may try overusing this resource and it could potentially cause your business to lose revenue. Would there be up charges at the end of the month for certain drives that were out of the ordinary. I'm just curious. Otherwise keep up the great work. 2. Hello Matthew. First off, let me just say that I think you did an excellent job in projecting your voice. I wish my pitch sounded more clearer but apparently I got really sick during the time that I had to record my pitch. I think your idea would definitely be convenient for those who are trying to save money while getting from place to place. I have to agree in that Uber can get expensive because I know many people who use this service. Here is a link to my pitch. http://clarissaidos.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html

  3. Hi Matthew,
This was a really interesting idea. I like that you're thinking of a different way to make money while providing the same service as your competitors in an attempt to undercut them, but I do think there are a couple problems with the subscription model when it comes to a service like this one. Primarily, compensating your drivers would be a little tricky given that you could *theoretically* run out of money if you still do it the traditional way. Since your profits won't grow with the length of the rides, you could run into some problems. Anyways, best of luck I think you're onto something if you iron out the business model!

  4. Hey Matthew, overall in this class and through everyone I have commented on there have been so many good ideas. I honestly think someone in this class is going to actually stick with their idea and start their business. I think there a lot of ideas circling around (like yours) on ways to improve uber by either making it more efficient. It will be interesting to see what idea makes it. 5. Hey Matthew, I love the idea you have. I just started using Uber recently and for the most part I can say I hate it. While still slightly being better than buses and taxis, it's very incremental. As for your pitch, you did a good job being enthusiastic and well dressed, as well as stating the problem and solution, however I felt that your hook was a little weak and could use some fine tuning. Overall great job, I wish you the best of luck.
